Jeff Hazlett, CAPS

Jeff Hazlett holds the Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The NAHB designed the certification process to designate qualified contractors who have the resources and expertise to create barrier-free homes for those wanting or needing greater home accessibility. The CAPS certification means that Jeff has earned the most sought after designation in the home modification industry with special emphasis on aging-in-place for seniors and persons with disabilities.   Jeff has served as the general contractor on projects ranging from small modifications to projects over $1.2 Million.
Prior to working with Access Solutions, Jeff spent the majority of his work life in the business world, growing a small business to a 42-state operation and holding corporate positions in several industries.

"When my dad had to undergo emergency dialysis and was in a very weakened state, Jeff and Caroline came to our house, did a thorough walk through and explained how we could make the house safe for my dad upon his return from Rehab.   They installed grab bars in the bathrooms, suggested a great lift chair, and renovated the bathroom to make the shower and toilet safer for my dad.   The fees they charged were very reasonable, they were “on call” throughout the process, and it was done within a very short period of time.  In a very stressful situation, they were very comforting contractors and professionals to consult with and do the work."  -AL, Dallas

"The owner, Jeff Hazlett, was amongst one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. He was communicative, worked to ensure that we were satisfied with the work product and treated the remodel as if he was working on his home."

- TC, Dallas

"Jeff and Caroline are like family to us now. They took such good care of us in our extensive remodeling project which included a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Caroline Hazlett, PT, RAS

Caroline is a licensed physical therapist, Texas registered accessibility specialist (RAS) and certified aging-in-place specialist with over 20 years of experience.  She has worked in direct care of patients in every life stage, has presented educational seminars to groups of 5 to 250 participants, and has spent a significant amount of time as a clinical educator for physical, occupational and speech therapy students.
Over the years, Caroline has helped countless patients and clients make decisions about options for care, specialty medical equipment and modifications for home, work, school and community settings to accommodate every level of need.  She has worked with adults as well as the parents of children to create barrier-free environments that will stand the test of time.
Caroline knows that modification decisions must be based on more than simply ADA guidelines.  Each person’s medical condition and needs are different, and accommodations that work well for the long term should be personalized to the unique circumstances that surround the particular situation at hand.
Having spent thousands of hours with patients and clients in clinical, home and community settings, Caroline is also aware of how physical changes are also often financially devastating.  To that end, it is always her goal to help her clients make the best long-term decisions in the most cost-effective way possible.
